Christmas Eve Vigil
Honouring Our Fallen, Together
Branch 68 warmly invites our community to join us on Christmas Eve as we take part in a deeply meaningful tradition shared with the people of Holland. 🇨🇦🤝🇳🇱
Every year in the Netherlands, local children place candles on the graves of Canadian soldiers who liberated their country during the Second World War. Their light carries gratitude across generations — and here in Penetanguishene, we gather in solidarity to honour that same legacy of courage, sacrifice, and remembrance.
🕯️ Meet at the Legion: 4:30 PM
🕯️ Vigil: 4:30–8:00 PM
🕯️ Potluck Dinner at the Legion afterwards (sign-up sheet in the Clubroom)🚗 Transportation will be provided for those who need assistance between the Legion and the Cenotaph.
🧣 Dress warmly — candles and winter nights go hand in hand.
👨👩👧 All ages welcome, with supervision encouraged for younger participants.
This evening is a chance to pause during the rush of the season… to hold light for those who never made it home… and to stand in unity with our friends in Holland who continue to honour our Canadian heroes.
Together, we keep the memory bright.

New Year's Levee
🎉🍁 NEW YEAR’S DAY LEVEE AT BRANCH 68 🍁🎉
Every New Year’s Day, the military and Legion community uphold a long-standing tradition - the Levee.
It’s a moment to gather, share good cheer, and welcome a fresh year with gratitude, fellowship, and a nod to the generations who came before us.
And yes… it wouldn’t be a true Levee without Moose Milk. 😉
For anyone new to the tradition, Moose Milk is a creamy holiday concoction - part history, part mischief - recognized across the Canadian Forces as a festive toast shared with friends, comrades, and community. (We promise, no actual moose are involved. 🫎❌😂)
Branch 68 warmly invites the entire community to join us on
Enjoy snacks, a cup of traditional Moose Milk, and the simple joy of kicking off 2026 together at the Friendliest Legion in the District.
All 19+ are welcome - members, families, neighbours, and anyone looking for connection, tradition, and a warm place to start the year. ❤️
